Celebrating 40 years of Quilting and Friendship
Join us October 5th at 7pm to hear from Claire Meldrum and view her demo on traditional quilting
Welcome to October! It’s really starting to feel like fall with cooler nights and Thanksgiving fast approaching. I’ve always loved the tradition of Thanksgiving – especially the chance to spend time with family and enjoy the aroma of turkey in the oven. I don’t even mind cooking the big meal!
One of the many things for which I am thankful is belonging to a guild whose goal is to foster a spirit of co-operation and friendship, and a place where members of all abilities are valued and
encouraged. It’s no wonder we’re celebrating our 40th anniversary! (Speaking of the 40th Anniversary Celebration evening – have you reserved your place yet?)
As mentioned at the last meeting, we may experiment and try a slightly new floor plan at the October meeting. The objective is to try to ensure that all members can easily hear the speakers and enjoy the meetings. Let’s all help this as well by being mindful of the speakers during the meeting – for everyone’s enjoyment!
Have you signed up for a guild activity yet? There’s lots you can do so don’t wait! Remember - get involved with what you enjoy!
