This is it! The countdown to Christmas really begins now. It often seems like we spend so much time planning, shopping, decorating and baking in preparation for the holiday season and then, in a blink of an eye, it’s over. But even though it sometimes seems like a lot of work, I find that doing the planning and prep work gives me time to anticipate and look forward to the season and to the time I’ll be able to spend with family and friends. I believe that, as we get older, it’s all about being together and enjoying each other’s company, as we count our blessings for all that we have and the people we love.
Having said that, I’m definitely not opposed to the odd gift coming my way! Have you got your gift-giving projects underway?
Clues and suspects for the Mystery Quilt will be handed out at the January meeting. These will be passed out in multiples until May to get us back on track for the year. Please refer to Mystery Quilts (page 6) for the new schedule. I will bring the clues and suspects, but as I’m unable to hand them out before the meetings, I would appreciate a volunteer to help. Let’s show Suzie we can do this!
Finally, as December is our Christmas Potluck and Penny Sale meeting, we won’t have Sew and Share this month. The Library and “Free Table” will also be closed for this meeting. So remember to bring your dinnerware, Penny Sale items, Compassion Society donations and 50/50 money. Dinner will be at 7:15 pm.
Looking forward to a great meeting in December!
